AI Evidence Lab: Verify, Protect, Decide: Practice a Quick Evidence Check for AI Answers and Images

Use a simple evidence check before relying on an AI answer, image, or search summary. During the lab, you can: compare a chatbot answer with reliable sources. examine a generated image for clues and missing context. identify private information in a fictional prompt. decide what to check before using or sharing an AI response. Examples will be fictional or reviewed by library staff. Work independently or with other teens. You may write, point, discuss, or observe, and sharing is optional. You will not be asked to describe your own AI use. No account, personal device, or AI experience is required. Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
