The book chosen for this month's discussion is Gabriel's Moon by William Boyd . This 2024 historical thriller novel centers on Gabriel Dax, a travel writer who becomes a reluctant spy during the Cold War, drawn into espionage by an MI6 handler while haunted by his mother's death in a fire. Set in the 1960s, the story follows Gabriel from London to the Congo and other locations as he navigates a world of intrigue, betrayal, and obsession, blending historical events with fictional characters.
