Join Rabbi Hyim Shafner, MSW, of Kesher Israel: The Georgetown Synagogue for our next “Faith in Focus” talk. Rabbi Shafner will examine the life of Rabbi Gedalia Silverstone (1871-1942) and his role in the early days of Orthodoxy in Washington, DC. What do his life and writings have to say to us at this time in history? This talk is part of the Library's ongoing Faith in Focus Series.
