Story Tapestries: How Long Is a Moment? The Moment Thief: A STEAM Photography workshop with Jessica Wallach

Jessica Wallach leads students to explore how long an action takes, how much of that action a camera records, and what happens when shutter speed, light, and movement change. Through hands-on photography, students experiment with fractions of a second, stillness, motion, and changing light. A participatory story about Time and her camera, the Moment Thief, gives the workshop a narrative structure while students build understanding of measurement, scientific inquiry, and the relationship between light, time, and movement.
